Ingredients

16.1 oz ground sirloin
1.5 small onion
1 tsp basil
1 tsp italian seasoning mccormick
1/2 tsp salt
1.5 garlic cloves
1/4 tsp sugar
5.25 C Diced tomatoes, Hunts, basil, garlic & oregano
1- 6 oz can Hunts tomato paste
1/2 C water
10 Wheat Lasagna noodles
1 egg
1T dried parsley flakes
2 T Parmesan cheese
2 C cottage cheese fat free
1/2 C Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Directions
Brown beef and nonion. Drain well. Stir in seasonings, tomatoes, tomato paste, and water. Mixture may be used immediately, but for richer flavor, simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes. Stir occasionally. Mix egg, parsley flakes, parmesan cheese, and cottage cheese.
In a 9X13 inch baking dish layer 1 cup of sauce, 4 dry noodles (break to fit) and half of the cottage cheese-egg mixture, spreading it evenly over the noodles. Repeat the sauce, noodles, and cottage cheese mixture. Top with remaining sauce. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 50-60 minutes, or until noodles are tender. Let stand 10 minutes. Sprinkle with cheese and serve. Makes 12 servings
