This bread is tasty and's low in carbohydrates and calories. This bread is tasty and's low in carbohydrates and calories.
Number of Servings: 16


    3 Cups 100% Whole Wheat Flour
    1 Pkg. Active Dry Yeast
    1/8 tsp. Baking Soda
    1 Cup Milk
    1/4 Cup warm Water
    1/2 Tbsp. Splenda
    1/2 tsp. Salt


1. Preheat oven to 425F. Spray 1 loaf pan with cooking spray.

2. Place warm water and salt, and slenda in a large bowl stir until dissolved..

3. sprinkle yeast over the liquid and stir until dissolved.

4. Add flour, 1 cup at a time stir until dough is firm yet sticky to the touch.

5. Kneed dough by hand for 5 minutes until smooth.

6. Place in loaf pan and cover with damp cloth and allow to rise in a warm place until dough reaches top of pan. (about 45-60 minutes.

7. Bake in hot oven for 20-25 minutes or until bread sounds hollow when tapped.

  • This is good. Compact, Dense, pretty color. Directions and ingredient list need more details.
    I find using an 8"x4" loaf pan works best for me. I also find that my kneading attachment on hand mixer makes a big difference in final product.
