A healthy spaghetti bake. This is delicious. A favorite at potlucks and my son would eat this everyday.

A healthy spaghetti bake. This is delicious. A favorite at potlucks and my son would eat this everyday.


Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

    1# whole wheat spaghetti, cooked
    1# ground sirloin, browned
    1 small can diced tomatoes (or 2 fresh tomatoes, chopped)
    1 gr pepper, chopped
    1 red pepper, chopped
    1 lg sweet onion, chopped
    2 c shredded cheddar

Directions

Prepare ingredients as directed. Spray 9 x 13 pan. Spread spaghetti on bottom. After draining ground beef, spoon evenly over spaghetti. Mix vegetables together and layer on top of beef. Sprinkle with cheddar and bake at 400F for 30 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned. Makes 12 1 cup servings.

    Very Good
    A woinderful dish for the colder weather, hearty yet not over powering like a goulash would be, we loved it here and will make it a staple in our home. - 9/19/08

    I asked my son's friend when he asked for seconds, I thought you didn't like healthy food to which he replied, I don't, but I like this. It tastes like regular spaghetti w cheese on it! Kids!
