Ingredients

    Brown rice
    Pork Chops
    Beef broth
    Crisco
    Carrots, cut in julienne strips
    Chopped onion
    White wine
    Dried leaf oregano, crumbled
    Dried marjoram, crumbled
    Ground black pepper

Directions

In a saucepan, combine brown rice and beef broth; bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes. Brown pork chops lightly on both sides in hot oil. Add remaining ingredients to rice; transfer to a shallow baking dish. Arrange pork chops on top. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 45 to 55 minutes, stirring the brown rice a few times. Brown rice and pork chop recipe serves 4.
