Introduction

A compote makes a great dessert for family or when you have friends over.


Rapadura whole organic sugar has the advantage to be the perfect unbleached, unrefined sweetener to use in place of refined sugars.

Rapadura whole organic sugar has the advantage to be the perfect unbleached, unrefined sweetener to use in place of refined sugars.

Ingredients

    10 fresh figs
    1 tbsp water
    1 tsp Rapadura Whole Organic Sugar (or brown sugar)
    1 scoop of vanilla ice cream (optional)

Directions

1) Slice the figs into 4 and peel them.
2) Put them in a saucee pan with the water and the sugar.
3) Stir all the ingredients while cooking during 10 minutes.
4) Serve after letting it cool down in the fridge.

Tips: I topped it with a small scoop of Ben & Jerry's vanilla ice cream which is not included in the nutritional information.
