I can't understand why we would want to eat ham - ok, it is 98% fat free...but the dish would taste great without it. And, yes - the low sodium soup would be fine. I am making scalloped potatoes for my husband's work Xmas lunch and I think i'll try it first....PLUS they are having a ham already.. - 12/20/08

It was yummy! I used cheesey broccoli soup and added fresh broccoli. I don't know if my slow cooker is just getting old, but it took the top layer of potatoes a lot longer to cook. I had to pick them out so we could eat dinner. I put them back in and they finished cooking after a few more hours. - 5/21/15

I HAVEN'T TRIED THIS RECIPE BUT WILL BUT I HAVE A TROUBLE BELIEVING SOME PEOPLE WHEN THEY RATE A RECIPE. I DON'T THINK THEY READ THE RECIPE OR SOMETHING.IT IS NOT AT ALL WHAT THE RECIPE SAYS. I MAKE MY OWN SOUP MIX FROM MEG'S RECIPE AND THAT IS WHAT I WILL USE IN THIS RECIPE. I DON'T BUY CANNED SOUP - 4/3/15

Whole family loved it. I used cheddar cheese soup as recommended by some others and used enough of the ingredients to fill up my crock pot. Next time I will cut the amount of cheddar cheese soup with low sodium cream of celery or cream of potato since it seemed very salty to me. Awesome great meal! - 9/9/13
