Ingredients

    1/2 cup of chopped carrots
    2 garlic cloves
    1/2 cup of chopped onion
    1/2 cup of chopped turnips
    1/2 cup of summer squash
    3 tbsp of olive oil
    3 cups of chicken broth
    1 12 oz can of canned turkey, which is about
    1 cup.
    3/4 cup of rice penne pasta noodles
    2 cups of water
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 tbsp basil

Directions

Saute the carrots, onions, turnips, and garlic in the olive oil for about 5-10 minutes in a soup pot. Then add the chicken broth, water, basil, and salt. Bring to a boil. Drain the Turky and add to the soup along with the squash and pasta noodles. Heat through for 15 minutes.
Makes 6 1.5 cup servings.
