    1/4 cup dairy free buttery spread
    1 cup warm water
    1 package or 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
    3/4 tsp salt
    1/4 cup honey
    2 tbs wheat germ
    2 cups whole wheat flour
    2 cups white flour


Melt the dairy free spread and let it cool a little.
Pour water into a warmed mixing bowl, sprinkle the yeast over the water, then and the salt over the yeast.
Let set a minute or two to proof the yeast.
Stir in the honey and wheat germ.
Beat in the whole wheat flour and the dairy free spread.
Stir in as much of the white flour as it takes to get a dough that can be kneaded, then turn it out onto a floured surface and knead in as much of the remaining flour asi it takes to make an elastic dough.
Knead for 5 minutes then round the dough into a ball, cover it with the upturned mixing bowl, and let set in a warm place to rise until double in bulk, about 1 hour.
Knead the dough down until it is smooth and the bubbles are gone.
Shape the dough into 32 rolls, set slightly apart on a greased sheet pan, and let rise again until doubled, about 1 hour.
Bake in a preheated 350 oven for about 15 to 20 minutes or until done.
