Introduction

Great simple pasta sauce atop sauteed chicken and penne pasta Great simple pasta sauce atop sauteed chicken and penne pasta
Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

    4 cloves minced garlic
    2 tbsp Olive Oil or butter (i used olive oil for the nutrition facts)
    1 cup Fat free half and half (or heavy cream, more calories though!)
    8 oz can of Tomato Sauce
    16oz Whole Wheat or regular Penne pasta
    4 chicken breasts cleaned and cut in half
    Salt to taste
    Pepper to taste
    1/2 cup Vodka
    1/2 chopped basil
    two 28oz cans of crushed tomatoes

Directions

1. On medium flame heat a large or medium skillet pan

2. in a medium pot boil about 4-6quarts of water

3. preheat oven to 350 degrees

4. put olive oil and minced garlic in pan and cook until garlic is tender 2-3mins

5. put tomato sauce, crushed tomatoes, basil, salt, pepper in pan and let cook for 15-16mins stirring occasionally

6.***while tomato sauce is cooking***... your water should be boiling for your pasta (if not, that's fine whenever it starts to boil put about 2 tablespoons of olive oil or salt into water with pasta, stir occasionally for 8-11mins or until pasta is al dente. Drain and set it aside. season chicken breast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder stick in oven for 30mins or until cooked all the way through or until sauce is ready.

7. add vodka in sauce and cook for 15mins more stirring occasionally

8. add half and half and cook for 10mins stirring occasionally

9. cut chicken breasts into small cubes and add to sauce. add penne pasta to sauce, stir and let cook for 3-5mins covered...... then enjoy!
