Ingredients

    1/3 cup raisins, soaked and drained
    3 cups firm apples (e.g., Granny Smiths), peeled, cored and sliced
    2 Tablespoons white sugar
    3 Tablespoons flour
    1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    dash of nutmeg or ground ginger or lemon zest
    8 sheets of phyllo dough
    1/2 stick of butter, melted

Directions

Mix filling. Layer phyllo dough, brushed with melted butter. Fill phyllo dough with mixture. Roll up. Bake at 350 for 35 minutes or at 400 for 30 minutes, until golden. Decorate with powdered sugar.
