Ingredients
-
Chicken Thigh, 3 thigh, bone and skin removed
Chicken Drumstick, 3 drumstick, bone and skin removed
Tomato Paste, 0.25 cup
Saffron, .5 tsp
*Campbell's low sodium chicken broth, 2 cup
Water, tap, 2 cup (8 fl oz)
Turmeric, ground, .5 tsp
Cinnamon, ground, .5 tsp
Onions, raw, 1 medium (2-1/2" dia)
Olive Oil, 1 tbsp
Directions
Dice onion. Lightly fry the onion in the olive oil. Add chicken pieces just to brown. Add all other ingredients, cover and simmer for 1.5 hours or until chicken falls off the bone and sauce has thickened. If it's too thin, add a bit more tomato paste or simmer with the lid off until the liquid has a chance to evaporate, if it's too thick add a bit of water.
If you used chicken with the skin on, remove it before eating. Obviously don't eat the bones and don't give them to your dog! Your dog would rather have a nice T-bone steak bone instead.

Nice flavor and filling. It's good but not one we will make all the time. Fast to make.
I made it with a special rice and the combination was really good! I made the rice as normal, adding crasins and rasins in the beginning! TRY THIS
I made this in a slow cooker and will cut the water next time. - 12/2/12
