Introduction

I LOVE brussels sprouts, and my husband loves bacon, so this is the perfect combination for our household! I LOVE brussels sprouts, and my husband loves bacon, so this is the perfect combination for our household!
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    30 Brussels sprouts (1 pound)
    3 slices bacon
    2 TBSP butter
    1 TBSP olive oil
    1/4 cup chopped onion
    3 cloves garlic
    Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions

Cut Bacon into bits and brown in a pan with 1 tsp olive oil.

Remove crisp bacon and set aside for later. Add onions and garlic and cook about 2 minutes on low heat. Add brussels sprouts and butter. and cook until sprouts are softened and browned. Add bacon back in and cook 1 minute more.

Makes 4 servings

    Good
    This is a nice dish. Bacon adds interest, and the onion adds flavor. I eliminated the butter and used a T. of bacon grease because I'm lazy. - 12/10/10

    I'll use this but lighten it up. Less bacon, lots less fats (1 tsp butter and 1 tsp olive oil. I've been searching for a recipe I used last year and this is close. Thanks. - 11/20/09
