    1 Cup margerine or butter
    1/2 Cup Sugar
    1/2 Cup Light Corn Syrup
    1 t Salt
    1 t Vanilla
    1/2 Cup Pecans (finely chopped)
    3 1/2 Cups Flour
    1 Cup Colored Sugar

    1/4 Cup colored sugar - Preserve for later to roll dough in


Cream butter, sugar and corn syrup until light and fluffy
Stir in salt, vanilla, apricot preserves and pecans
Stir in flour (1/4 cup at a time)
Divide into 4 parts
Roll each part into a "log" shaped roll
Roll in colored sugar
Chill Well
Cut into slices
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 12-15 minutes
