Ingredients

Cake
1 yellow cake mix (with pudding)
1/3 cup oil
3 large eggs
1/2 cup irish whiskey
1/2 cup pecans
Glaze
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 stick butter
1/2 cup irish whiskey
Directions
Grease and flour loaf pan, place pecan pieces in bottom of pan.
Mix cake ingredients (except nuts) and pour over pecans in loaf pan. Bake at 350 for about 50 - 60 minutes. (until toothpick comes out clean)
In small sauce pan mix all glaze ingredients except whiskey. bring to boil and then simmer for 5 minutes. Take off flame and add whiskey. Using tooth pick poke holes in cake and spoon glaze over cake (it will not soak in right away, give it time.)
Serve with whipped cream.
