Introduction
I was reading online about a Philippine recipe for pork chops. This is my modification of it. It was a huge hit with both the husband & the step child. Ingredients

5 Thin cut center cut pork loin chops, washed & patted dry
5 Tbsp soy sauce
6 Cloves of garlic, individually crushed
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
Directions
In a medium sized bowl layer all items in the following order: 1 clove of garlic, 1 chop, 1 tbsp soy sauce, repeat.
Put cover on bowl - let sit out at room temp for 30 min.
Add tbsp of olive oil to griddle or cast iron fry pan. Preheat - once hot cook chops till done, flipping once. Approx. 8 minutes per side or internal temp reaches 170 degrees.

Can you make this in the crock pot? - 1/21/09

You could adapt it to use in a slow cooker. I don't know about using thin chops though. Perhaps regular cut chops would be good - or even a pork roast. I would also maybe add some pineapple juice for a little more liquid in the slow cooker. But sounds yummy - what a great idea!!

I make this all the time and add 1 tsp. of vinegar and 1 crushed bay leaf and a dash of blk. pepper - 1/19/09

Wow!! That sounds awesome!! I've got to try it with the vinegar, bay leaf & blk pepper. That sounds like a terrific combination to add in. I'll bet it is good. Thank you for sharing that. :)
