Ingredients
-
2 TBS Hoison Sauce
5 TBS Plum Sauce
2 TBS Sherry Wine
2 TBSRice Vinegar
1 TBS Soy Souce (low sodium)
2 TBS Honey
2TBS Sugar
Dash Powdered Ginger
Dash Garlic Powder
2 TBS Cornstarch
3 Minced Garlic Cloves
12 Dry Red Peppers
1 TSP Minced Ginger
1 Egg
1.5 LBS Boneless Chicken
3 TBS Oil
1 TSP Sesame Oil
Directions
Mix Hoisin, Plum sauce, Sherry, rice vinegar, honey, sugar, powdered ginger and garlic powder in a bowl. Adjust to taste if need be.
Slice chicken into bite slice pieces. Scramble egg and add cornstartch. Place chicken in mixture.
Add oil to pan and dry chicken until ready. Set chicken aside.
Chop scallions and reserve green tops.
Chop remaining scallions, dry red peppers, minced garlic and ginger in pan with leftover oil. Once sauted add in chicken and sauce. Cook until sauce thick.
**I have substituted dry red pepper and minced garlic with the pepper flakes and powder. I also use minced garlic seasoning instead of the real thing. I have not noticed a difference. Also, I have eliminated the scallions and you can do without them.
Serve over brown/white rice with veggies. I usually add broccoli but anything goes!
