Introduction

If you love brussel sprouts (or even if you don't!) you'll love them prepared using this technique! I saw this on "Take Home Chef." The brussel sprouts turn out firm and, by caramilizing them, they have a very unique flavour. If you love brussel sprouts (or even if you don't!) you'll love them prepared using this technique! Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

    2 Cups brussel sprouts, trimmed and halved

    Generous amount of fat free cooking
    spray (butter flavour)

Directions

Trim and cut brussel sprouts in half lengthwise. In a saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to a boil.

Let brussel sprouts boil for only 2 minutes.

Strain brussel sprouts.

Spray pre-heated skillet very generously with butter flavoured, non-fat cooking spray (or you could use butter for a few more calories).

Lay brussel sprouts cut-side down in the skillet, cover and let caramalize for about 10 munites on med/low heat.

When the Brussel Sprouts are nicely browned on the cut-side and firm, but fork tender they are ready to serve!
