Ingredients
-
1 c. Silk light vanilla soymilk
2 tbsp. Hersheys special dark cocoa powder
2 tbsp. Splenda
1 tsp.vanilla or peppermint extract (optional)
Directions
I use Hershey's special dark cocoa powder--dutch process. The special dark has more antioxidants than "regular" cocoa--and tastes much richer. I love the silk light vanilla--lactose free, full of protein! (It also tastes great with their Omega-3 supplemented blends--their omega 3 oils are NOT derived from fish body oils--but are plant derived. )Don't use milk or soymilk that has fish body oil derived omega 3s--or your cocoa will taste like fishy milk--EWWW. Using Splenda to sweeten cuts out any added sugar!
Heat one cup of the soymilk in the microwave--about 2 minutes (Your time will vary by microwave power and serving size.)Just mix the cocoa and Splenda together in your mug. Then add the warm milk and stir.(If you want to be really fancy add vanilla or peppermint extract to taste.) YUM!
