Ingredients

    12 lemons, cut into 16 quarters
    1/4 cup salt
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/4 cup honey
    1/2 cup cayenne pepper
    1 tsp cinnamon or a couple of cinnamon sticks
    1 tsp cloves, whole or ground
    1 tbsp cardamom, whole or ground


Directions

1. Place all ingredients in a sauce pan, stir, and simmer for 20 minutes.
2. Cool, bottle, and serve as needed.
3. Stays well for more than a month.

A teaspoon of pickles is more than what you would need on your dinner plate!
