Ingredients
-
- 6 medium apples cored, peeled, and sliced (I used 3 tart baking apples and 3 sweet ones)
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar substitute
- 0.25 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Topping:
- 0.5 c. oatmeal (quick or rolled oats)
- 0.5 c. breadcrumbs (or 2 slices of bread toasted and ground in food processor)
- 0.25 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp. brown sugar unpacked
- 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
Directions
- Makes six servings.
- Preheat oven to 350F. Combine apple slices, flour, sugar substitute, cinnamon, lemon juice, and maple syrup in a large prep bowl. Mix with your hands so everything evenly coats the apples. Spread into a 9x9 baking dish.
- In a small prep bowl mix the oats, breadcrumbs, brown sugar and cinnamon well. Add in the softened butter (it should form little clumps.) Evenly spread the topping onto the apples.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until apple slices are soft and the topping is browned. Enjoy!
