    Jennie-O Sweet Italian Turkey Sausage, 5 serving (remove)
    Onions, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)
    Celery, raw, 1 cup, diced (remove)
    Garlic, 3 tsp (remove)
    Lentils, 2 cup (remove)
    Carrots, raw, 1 cup, chopped (remove)
    *Del Monte Petite Cut Diced Tomatoes, 3.5 cup (remove)
    Bay Leaf, 1 tbsp, crumbled (remove)
    Oregano, ground, 1 tsp (remove)
    Thyme, ground, .25 tsp (remove)
    Basil, .0833 tbsp (remove)
    *Ancient Harvest Traditional Whole Grain Quinoa, 1 serving =.25 cup dry, 0.25 cup (remove)

Directions

Brown the sausage in the same pot you will make the soup in. Once browned add celery, onion, garlic - saute until the onion is translucent. Add the lentils, carrots, and tomatoes then season with the spices and add 2 cans of broth and 8 cups of water - and 1/2 cup of Quinoa. Bring to a boil then reduce and simmer covered for 2.5-3h hours until the lentils are tender. Makes 10-15 cups of soup.
