Ingredients

    2c. boiling water
    2c. bran flakes cereal
    3/4c. butter, softened
    1c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 quart buttermilk
    3 1/2c. whole wheat flour
    2 1/4c. wheat bran
    5tsp baking soda
    1tsp salt
    4c. Kellogs All-Bran

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Pour boiling water over bran flakes cereal. Allow to sit while mixing other ingredients. Cream butter and sugar, add eggs add to above mixture. Stir in dry ingredients. May keep 2-3 weeks in fridge. Bake as needed. Add raisens, dates, chocolate chips, blueberries, nuts, etc just before baking. Bake 15-20 minutes. Makes 5-6 dozen
