Ingredients
-
Soup
1 8 fl oz can of beef broth
0.5 oz of red wine (or cooking wine)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 sweet onion
Salt/pepper
non-stick cooking spray
1 slice of swiss cheese
Salad
1 cup chopped lettuce
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup cherry tomatos
1 cup chopped carrots
1 tbsp ranch dressing
Bread
One dinner roll (No more then foot long)
Directions
Slice onion and pull out into rings (or chop) whatever you prefer.
Heat stove on medium and using cooking spray cook onions until they are golden brown.
Pour red wine and worcestershire sauce over onions and allow to cook for a few minutes before adding beef broth and salt/pepper.
Wait for soup to boil then remove from heat and serve. Place slice of swiss cheese over soup.
Note: You can dip the dinner roll or (traditionally) place the roll in the soup and put the cheese over that. Up to you.
While your waiting for the soup to boil you can put your salad together. I'm a ranch dressing person but you might want to sub with another (lot fat) dressing. Please note the tps of dressing I have listed is NOT low fat.
This makes one serving.
