    papaya choose carefully,
    a papaya that looks firm and healthy is probably still at least a week from ripening
    the less appealing the outer skin looks --the more likely it is to be ripe enough to cut

    suggestions for ripening cut shallow lengthwise stripes along the side of the fruit
    and even one of the ends.

    it will usually be ready sooner
    don't cut more than you can eat -- it doesn't hold its freshness forever

    yogurt plain low fat for creamy texture

    steel cut oats for crunch


no cooking
just add all three ingredients and slice ripe papaya to desired texture
I mix them in a small dish and then slice the papaya very small to keep it smooth
mix well
