This is a half recipe, double the amounts for party size. Cut the cilantro amount in half to 1 1/2 Tbl. spoon for a less bold flavor.

There are a million variations you can do on Sangria with different types of wine, fruits, juice, spices, liquors, etc. but this is imitates the classic recipe. Traditional Sangria uses lemon juice, sugar and seltzer water instead of lemonade, and also includes brandy and sometimes cinnamon.
If you want to cut calories even more I suggest using MinuteMaid Light Lemonade, Diet Sprite, or Diet Orange Soda instead of lemonade. I use a powdered mix because it's cheaper and a little sweeter.
These are amazing cookies I made adapting the measurements to our cup system. I used Argentinian dulce de leche and semi-sweet chocolate for covering.
My family isn't big on spicy stuff so I keep it cool, but you can adjust the cayenne to your taste.
