Introduction
My family isn't big on spicy stuff so I keep it cool, but you can adjust the cayenne to your taste. My family isn't big on spicy stuff so I keep it cool, but you can adjust the cayenne to your taste.Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients

2 - 16oz cans of chick peas
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 1/2 tbsp of minced garlic
1/2 cup fire roasted red peppers, chopped
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp of cayenne pepper
salt to taste
Any other herbs desired.
Directions
Makes 8 - 1/2 C servings.
In a food processor or blender combine chick peas, red pepper and garlic; blend.
While blending, drizzle olive oil into mixer.
Then add lemon juice.
Also add spices at this time.
You may also add juice from chick peas by the spoonful until desired consistenct is reached.
Once the mixture reaches the desired smoothness, remove from processer.
Using a rubber spatula, fold in any additional herbs until evenly distributed.
