Introduction

A great substitute for those high carb potatoes. A great substitute for those high carb potatoes.
Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

    1 medium - large turnip (or rutabaga)
    1 tbsp. olive oil
    Salt & Pepper (to taste)
    Cayenne Pepper (to taste)

Directions

Slice turmip into matchstick pieces. Add all ingredients to a multi purpose bag or container with a lid and shake to coat the turnip with the oil and seasoning. Bake in a 400 deg .F. oven until crisp. Bake time varies depending on the size of the pieces and the desired crispness.
Servings: approx. 4 serving of 1 cup (depending on size of turnip)

    Incredible!
    These are really good. I cut the olive oil in half, drizzled it over the sliced turnip then used my hands to coat them with it and that was more than enough oil. I went too heavy on the cayenne and used some garlic powder as well. Next time I may just use the garlic powder and some paprika. - 10/15/14
