The lasteset diet phad to hit America is the cabbage soup diet. I am on this diet phad, so heres my recipe. The lasteset diet phad to hit America is the cabbage soup diet. I am on this diet phad, so heres my recipe.
Number of Servings: 44


    6 large green onions
    3 cans of tomatoes
    6.5 oz mushrooms
    1/2 large head of green cabbage
    2 green peppers
    3 carrots
    1 cup chopped celery
    1 Tbs. of each: curry powder, minced garlic, red pepper
    1 cup of tomato soup
    13 cups of water


Makes 22 cups of soup. Each serving is 1/2 cup.

1.slice onionsand saute in pot with non-fat cooking spray
2.cut all vegtables into bite sized pieces, add all but cabbage.
3.add your seasonings and saute all the veggies in the pot till they are cooked how you like
4.add the cabbage to the pot and saute til its transluscent
5.add the cup of tomato soup and the water
6.boil for 45 minutes

  • I was on this diet once upon a time... and it works. I do this soup a lot during the winter months w/variations. I omit the mushrooms, green onions and peppers. I use white or red onions and add kidney beans & red pepper flakes. Today I made it and added red potatoes. Its a great soup! - 12/6/10
