Ingredients

    6 egg yolks
    2/3 cup sugar (120 grams)
    Marsala wine 18 tablespoons

    1.5 cups sliced strawberries
    1.5 cups blueberries

Directions

Beat the yolks and the sugar until the mixture is palest yellow tending towards white, then beat in the Marsala and cook over a double boiler. Do not let it reach a boil, but remove it from the fire as soon as it thickens. Whip air into the custard. When it has cooled to merely warm, you can, if you like, fold in an egg white beaten to very firm peaks (not included in nutrition values).

While the custard is cooling, wash and prepare fresh fruits. Mix gently.

Makes 6 servings. Put 1/6 of custard in a serving bowl, arrange 1/2 cup of fresh fruit around.
