Ingredients

    Flour, white, 2 cups
    Baking Powder, 2 tsp
    Baking Soda, .5 tsp
    Salt, 1 tsp
    Hungarian hot paprika or cayenne, .25 tsp
    Butter, salted, .25 cup
    Fresh Chives, 4 tbsp chopped
    Cheddar Cheese, .25 cup, shredded
    Buttermilk, lowfat, 1 cup

Directions

Preheat the oven to 450 F at least 10 minutes before you begin baking. Mix dry ingredients in bowl, cut in butter, mix in chives and cheese, mix in buttermilk until just combined. Knead very lightly just to combine on a floured surface, then pat into a thick circle. Cut out biscuits with a 2 inch diameter cutter. Lightly pat remains together and cut biscuits until all done. Makes 18. Put on a baking sheet on parchment or a silicone mat with the biscuits touching. Put in oven, turn heat down to 425 F and switch to convection baking for 10 minutes. Heat hot from the oven.
