Ingredients

    2 tbsp Chili powder
    0.50 tsp Garlic powder
    1 tbsp Pepper, black
    0.50 tsp Salt
    0.50 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    1.50 cup Tomato Sauce
    4.50 cup Garden Rotini

Tips

You can substitute shredded cabbage or cauliflower for the pasta to even make it healthier.

Brown the ground beef with the onion. Add 1/2 of the chili powder and continue browning for 5 minutes. Add the remaining chili powder and the tomato sauce (you can rinse out the cans with a small amount of water and add as well.) Simmer for 10 minutes.

Prepare macaroni by package directions. Add macaroni to beef mixture and combine. Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

YUMMO! Everyone in my family loved it. I used whole wheat penne rigate instead of macaroni. - 8/2/09

Great idea on the pasta swap out. Also, with the leftovers (I always make extra) I add whole kernel corn and put it in a baking dish and cover with foil until it is hot. Then I put low fat cheese on top and put back in the oven to melt. It is delicious.

I am so glad, I know you will enjoy it. I also have a meat loaf and a cornbread recipe that is figure friendly.

Please let me know what you think.

    Very Good
Very good except it has too much pasta for us. (my box was 13.25 oz). I also added a can of drained light red kidney beans and extra chili powder. We still used Tabasco at the table. - 6/12/10

This was great! I didn't have quite enough pasta, so I added some beans in addition. Thanks for the recipe! - 11/9/09

Thank you for the kind words. Also, with the leftovers (I always make extra) I add whole kernel corn and put it in a baking dish and cover with foil until it is hot. Then I put low fat cheese on top and put back in the oven to melt. It is delicious.
