Ingredients

1 sheet Pepperage Farms Puff Pastry, thawed
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c Splenda Sugar Blend
    1/2 c granulated sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
6 Granny Smith Apples, peeled, cored, quartered

Directions

In an oven proof skillet melt butter. Add Splenda and sugar and stir together until sugars have melted and slightly begun to caramelize. Off heat stir in vanilla extract. Return skillet to heat. Place the apples, cut side up in the skillet and allow to cook until the apples are caramelized and have begun to soften.

Roll out the puff pastry to slightly larger then the skillet and place on top of the apples. Pushing the pastry around the edges to create the look of a seal. The heat from the skillet will not allow a true seal.

Place in the oven and bake 20 minutes or so until pastry is deep golden brown and well puffed. Remove from oven and allow to sit for 1 minute. Place a platter over the skillet and invert the pan onto the platter so the apples are now on top and the pastry is on the bottom. Serve.
