Introduction

My most favorite dessert in the whole world! This is not a low fat recipe though, so plan for the extra calories and fat. My most favorite dessert in the whole world! This is not a low fat recipe though, so plan for the extra calories and fat.

Ingredients

    2 c. heavy whipping cream
    1/2 c. sugar
1 T. of vanilla or a vanilla bean (seeds added)
    8 tsps. sugar
    5 egg yokes

Directions

Warm cream until small bubbles form around the edge. Mix eggs and sugar with a mixer until blended and thick. Add warm cream slowly to eggs and sugar while the mixer is going. Pour into 8 oven proof dishes. Put dishes into a large casserole pan. Add water to the bottom of the casserole dish being careful not to get any water into the creme brulee dishes. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Cool in the fridge. Add a teaspoon of sugar to the top of cooled dishes and spread evenly. Torch the sugar with a butane torch made for creme brulee.

Thanks for pointing this out! I must have been tired! Haha! Yes, you do use two cups (I'll go back and change it.) It's very good! You can use smaller ramikans, to reduce the portions as well. Just make sure you do a shorter cooking time.
