Introduction

This is a lightly tangy and sweet cabbage dish that is lighter than the sweet and sour version you can buy in the store. This is a lightly tangy and sweet cabbage dish that is lighter than the sweet and sour version you can buy in the store.

Ingredients

    1 small head cabbage shredded
    1 tsp honey
1 C. College Inn Chicken Broth Fat free and low sodium
    1/4 tsp black pepper
    3 Tbsp apple cider vinegar

Directions

I like to use a Dutch oven to make this dish but any large saute pan with a lid will do.

Set you Dutch oven on the burner and start heating it on moderate heat. Slice your cabbage in half and remove core. Shred the cabbage and add to the hot dutch oven.

Add the low sodium, fat free chicken broth, honey, apple cider vinegar, and ground black pepper. Toss to coat the cabbage and place the lid on the pan.

Cook on stove top for 1/2 hour under low heat or until tender.
