Introduction

From Eating Well Magazine, October 2009. These need more time than the recipe called for, so play around with it. They also need more flavor, I'm thinking a little cayenne? I did use the 'no salt added' can of beans, so that may be why they aren't as flavorful as I had hoped.
They are a filling snack and easy to throw in your purse, though, so play around with the flavors and the cooking time and see what you come up with.

Ingredients

    1 - 15 oz can chickpeas (garbonzo beans)
    1 Tbsp olive oil
    2 tsp cumin
    1 tsp marjoram
    .25 tsp allspice
    .25 tsp sea salt

Directions

Rinse the chickpeas well, blot dry. Toss with the oil and the seasonings. Spread on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake at 450 in the upper third of the oven for 25-30 minutes, until browned and crunchy. Let cool on baking sheet for 15 minutes.

Makes 4 - 1/4 cup servings
