Introduction

Low calorie and delicious. I have become hooked on Angel Food Cake to satisfy my sweet tooth. This is a simple recipe adapted from AllRecipes that I make in a loaf pan since I don't have an angel food cake ring. I add semi-sweet chocolate chips for extra yummy-ness. Low calorie and delicious. Ingredients

1 1/4 cups Egg Whites, room temperature
1/2 cup + 1/2 tbsp Organic White Pastry Flour
    3/4 cup Powdered Sugar
    3/4 tsp Cream of Tartar
    1 dash of Salt
    1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
    1 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
    3 tbsp Mini Chocolate Chips

Directions

Allow egg whites to become room temperature. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour and powdered sugar together three times.

Add cream of tartar, vanilla extract and salt to egg whites; beat on high speed. Gradually add sugar, beating until sugar is dissolved and stiff peaks form. Carefully fold in flour mixture, 1/4 cup at a time. Gently spoon into a very lightly greased (I use PAM baking spray) non-stick 8 inch bread (loaf) pan. Add chocolate chips and gently knife through batter to incorporate chocolate chips and to remove air pockets. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.

When I take the pan out of the oven, I flip it over onto a piece of wax paper to cool. This helps prevent sinking.

Serves 12 slices.
