Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    Cake, yellow, dry mix, pudding-type, 1 package (18.50 oz) (remove)

    *Pineapple, canned, 1 cup, crushed in its own juice (remove)

    Pie fillings, canned, cherry, 1 can (21 oz) (remove)

    Butter, unsalted, 1 stick (remove)

Directions

Heat Oven to 400 F

Greese a large baking dish by spritzing with olive oil
Layer in ingredients in this order:
Cherries
Pineapple (do not drain)
Cake Mix (dry, do not prepair the mix)

Slice stick of butter into 1/2 in squares and lay in rows on top of cake mix.

Place cake on center rack and bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes or until cake is browned and bubling around the edges.

Let cake cool for 1-2 hours

Cake can be cut into one inch squares or scooped out in 1/2 cup servings

This is great for family gatherings and picnics. I love it srved cold with a scoop of frozen yogurt or fat fee whipped cream

NOTE: you can also substitue other fruit pie fillings and fresh fruits, just note that fruit juice is needed to moisten the cake mix.
