Ingredients

3 pounds extra lean ground beef
3 cloves (or more if you like garlic) fresh, minced garlic
1 minced onion, medium sized
1 minced bell pepper
1 cup minced fresh mushrooms
3 tablespoons parkay squeeze butter or olive oil
herbs and spices - 1 tablespoon each

Oregano
Other herbs and spices can be added as you wish.
10 cups (about 5 15-ounce cans) tomato sauce
2 cups water - use to rinse out the cans
Directions
In an 8 quart cooking pot, put butter and heat to sizzle point. Add the minced onion, garlic, mushrooms and pepper. Saute until soft.
Add the beef and spices. Brown the beef.
Add the tomato sauce and water. Stir well. Bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to medium low and let simmer for at least 1 1/2 hours. Can simmer all day. Just add water if thickens too much and stir occasionally.
