Number of Servings: 40

Ingredients

    3 Cups whole wheat flour
    3 Cups white bread flour
    2 Tbsp sugar
    1 Tbsp salt
    2 Tbsp Olive Oil
    2 Pkg. Dry Yeast
    1/4 C Milk
    1 3/4 Cup Water

Directions

Heat water and milk to ~ 110-115F
Add liquid to salt/sugar/oil and mix.
Add yeast and stir well.
Add 1/2 the flour and mix until lumps are gone (may be gummy)
Add rest of flour and mix.
If too sticky add flour. If too dry at water 1 Tbsp at a time.
Knead ~ 5-10 minutes
Put in a greased bowl and cover with damp cloth and let double in size.
Once doubled, punch down and cut into two equal halves.
Fold dough over and make into loaves.
Place in greased bread pans.
Cover again with a damp cloth and allow to rise.
Bake at 350F for 35-45minutes.

If softer crust is desired, brush the top of the bread with melted butter after 30 minutes in oven.

Remove from pan and put loaves on cooling rack.
