Introduction

Deceptively simple, this is great to serve at a party or take to a potluck, as it's a wonderful tasting hit but much lower in calories than other picnic-type side dishes. The main purpose of the yogurt is to keep the fruit from browning, although it does add a nice flavor as well. Ingredients

3 tart apples, such as Granny Smiths, chopped
3 crisp apples, such as Galas, chopped
    2 large bananas sliced
    1 cup of seedless grapes
6 Clementine mini oranges, peeled and wedged
1 pound of strawberries halved (~ 3.5 cups)
    1 cup walnut halves
1 cup low fat vanilla yogurt

Directions

Makes 18 1-cup servings.

Mix chopped fruit, nuts, and vanilla well. Serve immediately or refrigerate.

Substitute these fruits with whatever is in season and available. We love it with fresh pineapple and mango, but neither were ripe at the grocery store this week.
