Ingredients
-
Chicken Breast, no skin, 3 breast, bone and skin removed (I use Gold N Plump, no antibiotics or hormones!)
Salsa, 3 cups (your favorite mild, or own recipe!)
Chili powder, 3 tsp
Paprika, 1 tbsp
Cumin, 1 tsp
Minced onion, 1 tsp
Garlic powder, .5 tsp
Directions
*Add salsa to your slow cooker.
*Mix all spices together (vary them to your liking) and mix into the salsa.
*Season your chicken breasts to your liking and add to slow cooker, covering with the salsa mixture.
*Follow your standard slow cooker times.
*Once chicken is done, shred it up(I use 2 forks), add a bit more salsa if needed, and let cook for another 30 minutes or so.
I serve this on small whole wheat or multigrain tortillas with LOTS of crunchy romaine lettuce!
(You can also add typical softshell taco fixin's or even spanish rice to make it a burrito!)
