Introduction

This is kind of like a granola bar... only fewer calories. These are great to get your nutrition higher for the day. I wrap these up individually and keep a couple with me whenever I leave the house. Ingredients

    1 egg, large
    1/4 cup tahini
    1/4 cup honey
    1 cup rolled oats
    1/2 cup brown rice
    1/4 cup walnuts, chopped
    1/4 cup sunflower seed
    1/2 cup cranberries, dried, sweetened
    1/4 cup bran
    1/4 cup wheat germ
    1/4 cup sesame seeds
    1 cup raisins
    1/2 cup figs, chopped
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/2 apple, grated
    1/4 cup yogurt, low fat

Directions

Mix wet ingredients. Mix dry ingredients. Mix wet and dry together. Oil an 8x8 baking pan or line with parchment paper. Press mixture in pan and bake for 20-30 min @ 350 F. Cut into 24 squares immediately. After cutting, allow to cool for 30 minutes and remove from pan to cooling rack. Wrap individually and store in refrigerator to extend shelf life.
