Introduction

Thick, rich stew. Very strong umami component. Can serve with pasta, rice or bread. Best if you serve it with the rest of the bottle of wine! Thick, rich stew. Very strong umami component. Can serve with pasta, rice or bread. Best if you serve it with the rest of the bottle of wine!

Ingredients

    12 oz ground bison browned
    3 med carrots sliced thick
    1 cup green/red/yellow bell peppers
    1-2 cups sliced thick mushrooms
    1 glass red wine
    1 can 28 oz tomato puree

Directions

Brown meat, add carrots and saute for awhile until starting to soften. Deglaze pan with wine. Add rest of veggies, bay leaf and other italian spices (if desired) and cook for awhile until everything is at the texture you like.

Makes 6 large servings.
