Introduction

I love German cabbage and noodles with sausage, but it can become very high fat if made the old fashioned way. I have substitued Turkey Kielbasa for the sausage, and whole wheat linguine. Ingredients

1 small head of cabbage (4-5 inch diameter)
6.5 oz Ronzoni whole wheat linguine
7 oz (half pkg) Hillshire Farms Turkey Kielbasa
    1/4 tsp Onion powder
    1/4 tsp Garlic powder
    1/4 tsp Black pepper

Directions

Boil pasta to desired tenderness. While bringing water to boil, slice turkey Kielbasa into bite-size pieces. Heat large non-stick skillet (or electric skillet) on medium, add turkey. Slice or chop cabbage and add to skillet on top of Kielbasa, sprinkle with half the seasonings and cover. Stir once or twice while waiting for pasta to cook. When Linguine is done, drain and add to skillet, sprinkle with the rest of the seasonins and drizzle with the walnut or olive oil. Toss to distribute kielbasa juices evenly throughout.
Makes 4 servings, about 1.5 cups each.
