Introduction

Perfect Fall/Winter casserole. Thyme and Sage flavor the house along with flavoring the meat and stuffing. These are quite generous servings (sport-loving male teenagers afoot)--I will halve the serving to meet my 3 oz meat requirements. Perfect Fall/Winter casserole. Ingredients

    6 pork chops (2.72#!)
    1/4 cup butter
    1 large onion, chopped
4 large stalks of celery, chopped
    2 tsp. thyme
    2 tsp. sage
    3 cups hot water
14 oz Brownberry dry stuffing (sage and onion is nice)

Directions

Brown the chops on both sides in a large skillet. Transfer to a large pan and arrange in one layer. Cook the onion and celery in the same skillet in the butter. When soft, add hot water then the stuffing and mix well. Evenly spread the stuffing over the chops. Bake, covered, at 350F. Uncover the pan for the last half hour. Makes six large servings--7.25 ounces meat per serving and 2.5 package-recommended-servings of stuffing per serving. (3/4 cup dry is one serving on the package, and there are supposedly 15 servings in the package.)
