Introduction

Ingredients

    1 lb. lean ground turkey or Joe uses beef
    1 1/2 chopped onions
    1 1/2 cup chopped green peppers
    32 oz. diced canned tomatoes
    16 oz. red kidney beans cooked
    1 oz. sea salt
    1/2 tsp cumin
    1 tbs. sugar or substitude
    6 tbs flour
    6 tbs. dark chili powder
    1/2 tsp crushed red peppers (dryed)
    3 tbs extra virgin olive oil

Directions

Brown beef or turkey off in half the olive oil. Add crushed red pepper and salt. Mix all other dry ingredients together in a plastic bag and add to browned beef. add diced tomatoes and beans and 1/2 cup water. simmer covered for 30 minutes,stirring frequently. saute onions and green peppers in remaining olive oil till onions are transparent and set aside. take brown beef mixture off heat and let cool for 30 minutes. Add sauted onions and green peppers and just heat to serve. You dont want to over cook onions or peppers. 14 1 cup servings
