Ingredients

    One pound of large lima beans, dry
    10 cups water for soaking
    1 tsp salt
    2 Tbl margarine
    5 cup water for cooking

Directions

Soak the lima beans in 10 cups of cold water overnight. Drain completely. Place in a cooking pot and add margarine and 5 cups of fresh water. Cook for 40 minutes. Add salt. Cook an additional 10 minutes until soft.
