This is my alternative to pumpkin pie. It has the flavor of a pumpkin pie, plenty of spices, but the texture of a pudding pie, obviously.
These are super easy to make. I've made them vegan by replacing the white sugar with granulated raw cane sugar and replacing the milk with soy or rice milk. It doesn't affect the texture or taste at all.
I was looking for a way to add sweet potatoes to my diet (they are very healthy and high in potassium). I came up with this recipe. It's very tasty and great when I am craving something sweet.
I've estimated the portions of ingredients as best I can. I never really measure things when I make this, so you may want to change the proportions a bit to suit your taste. Just remember that buttery spread and walnuts are high calorie, so don't go crazy
This is not a low fat, or calorie, recipe in any way. I will be working on it to make it more reasonable. Until then I will be eating these in moderation. These are really easy and fun to make with kids.
Gluten Free Weight Watcher recipe. These are tiny drop cookies. Don't make this if you are prone to binging. I ate nearly the whole recipe the first time.
I had a feeling other recipes here on Sparkpeople weren't quite showing the calorie load that my cookies have, so I wanted to be completely honest!
I made this half batch of cookies because we wanted to have a controlled binge! LOL I only had about 1/2 cup of choc. chips anyway, but I like to add walnuts and oatmeal, so here it is!
This makes 16 really nice sized cookies, approximately one golf ball sized ball of dough. I wish I had measured the grams, but at least you know my serving size, and it's the calories are scary!....but, hey... "THE MORE YOU KNOW!"
Great dessert idea for anytime of the day! A little pain to make them, but fun to eat!
Using Pilsbury Cake Mix, these turn out pretty good. Still working on this recipe, but initally, I'm quite satisfied with the results.
I have not included the nutritional info for filling here because you may want to use something different. Suggestions are marshmallow fluff, Nutella, cream cheese, peanut butter and combinations of any of those! (Marshmallow creme is 50 calories for 2 Tbls) See other recipes for Whoopie pie filling!
Recipe can be halved. Yet another way to use the bumper crop of zucchini that I found myself with this summer!
My dad is far from a health nut, and I'm not sure these cookies have a lot of redeeming value. They are, however, delicious. :-)
