This is a BIG recipe! Plenty for leftovers or a gameday event. This chili can even be frozen for later meals!!
This is a version of my Mom's that I changed a bit. Instead of Ritz crackers I used bread crumbs and I think she normally puts ketchup in it; I have tried a few different sauces but this one has A-! Steak Sauce. We usually eat it with some kind of steamed vegetable, salad and Milk to drink.
Every time I make chili it's always a little different based on what I have around the house. But basicly, if I have ground beef, and beans, it's chili night.

Easy comfort food! We make rice to go with this and usually have fresh peas. You could easily substitute instant brown rice for the white rice.
You will need some sort of blender or liquidizer to turn the peppers and onion into a sauce. I use a hand blender.
If you don't like spicy mixes you don't have to add the chili powder.
The sauce is quite versatile and goes well with chicken, pork or cooked beans
I've adapted the recipe from the Looneyspoons Collection book -- the original calls for mild sausage, but I like spicy, zucchini (which I switched for celery and spinach) and croutons instead of buns but I used what I had and loved it.
