Shrimp, lump crabmeat, and pasta cooked in a light garlic butter sauce.
This recipe is designed for the 17 Day Diet Stage 1 menu. It's heavy on vegetables and low on fat, replacing most of the usual mayonnaise with non-fat Greek yogurt. It's crunchy yet surprisingly creamy with a nice little kick from the red pepper. If you are eating the 17 Day Diet plan, eat in a salad or straight from a small bowl, or stuff a tomato with it! If your not, it would be great on bread as well.
The Tilapia is "cooked" in the lime juice. This is incredibly flavorful and can be easily tweaked to your own taste buds.
I really never measure the exact amount. Two large tomatos diced, half a large cucumber diced, a handfull of chopped cilantro the a drizzel of olive oil and balsamic vinegar on top of steamed salmon.
This is a super simple recipie. It takes a little time because the salmon tastes better if you let it marinate in the curry before cooking it. I generally serve this with pineapple sweet potatoes and a green salad.
Shiba's (http://www.katmandufood.com/) spice is an important ingredient. The yellow "curry powder" easily found in most American grocery stores will not taste as good. If you don't use Shiba's make sure it is an authentic Indian curry powder.
(This isn't an authentic Indian food, but with Shiba's spices it tastes authentic.)
You can use any kind of fish for this recipe. (Different varieties may have different nutritional values.)
This is a Weight Watchers recipe, except they use halibut steaks. I use tilapia because its easier for me to find and cheaper. I do the portion size a little differently as well.
The dill rye breading adds gives the Cod a wonderful flavor and can be used with other fish and meats as well.
